Raising oesophageal awareness 

Vision

Our vision is to substantially raise awareness of oesophageal disorders both in the medical community and in the public; to highlight the dangers of reflux as a potentially dangerous symptom and to highlight beneficial lifestyle changes and fund research in this field

Strategic goals

• To raise awareness of oesophageal diseases
• To support people affected by reflux
• To campaign to raise the profile of reflux amongst government, health carers and the public
• To ensure better prevention and management of reflux
• To fund research into prevention and awareness campaigns

Operational objectives

• Organise study days / lectures on reflux and other oesophageal disorders for hospital staff and GPs and later, for the public
• Develop a patient education pack
• Seek out research opportunities
